Fair terms, in plain language
These are the terms that apply when you visit BusayoDisu.com or license the works that live here.
Last updated July 2026.
Acceptance of these terms
By visiting this site, purchasing from the store or activating a licence, you agree to these terms. If you are accepting on behalf of a school, library or other organization, you confirm that you have the authority to do so. If you do not agree, please simply enjoy the free pages and reach out with any questions.
Intellectual property
Every story, film, book, illustration and character on this site, including Our Story, Our Voice™ and Mrs. Disu™, is a protected work. Trademarks are noted with the ™ symbol. These works carry years of lived experience and craft, and they remain the property of Busayo Disu. Copying, republishing or adapting them without written permission is not allowed.
Licences and activation codes
Licensed content is offered as a lease, not a sale. In practical terms:
- Activation codes are single-use. Once a code is redeemed, it cannot be used again.
- Licences end when their term ends, unless auto-renewal was purchased. Access closes gently at the end of the term.
- Organization licences are issued to approved institutional email addresses and cover only the organization named on the licence.
- Sharing codes, or sharing licensed content outside the terms of the licence, is not permitted.
Acceptable use
Please use this site as it was intended: to learn, to connect and to bring these stories into classrooms, teams and homes. Do not attempt to break, scrape or misuse the site, impersonate others, or use the contact forms to send anything unlawful or unkind.
Third-party services
Parts of this site rely on third parties, such as payment processors, video streaming and the Learning Hub player. Those services run under their own terms and policies, and this site is not responsible for their availability or conduct.
Limitation of liability
This site and its content are provided in good faith, as they are. To the fullest extent the law allows, Busayo Disu is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site, and total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the item or licence in question.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada, and any dispute will be resolved in the courts of that province.
