Mrs. Disu is a friendly guide for young people. Through stories, songs and gentle activities, she helps children grow in kindness, empathy, curiosity and cultural understanding.
She believes every child deserves to feel welcome, and every classroom can celebrate differences. She is patient, playful and endlessly curious about the world.

Who is Mrs. Disu?
Mrs. Disu is the children's side of Busayo Disu's work: a warm, familiar teacher who introduces stories about kindness, empathy, curiosity and cultural understanding. She is how a five year old meets the same ideas that a Grade 8 class meets in the book Our Story, Our Voice, at the size a five year old can hold.
What ages is Mrs. Disu made for?
Roughly ages four to ten, which covers Kindergarten through Grade 5. Older readers are pointed toward the book and the documentaries on Our Story, Our Voice, so a whole school can work with one set of stories at the right depth for each grade.
What actually happens during a school visit?
One gentle hour. A story read aloud, then questions from the carpet, and time for children to say the part they recognized. Longer formats, assemblies and multi class days can be arranged, and staff sessions can sit alongside the visit if your team would like their own hour.
What do teachers receive with the stories?
Discussion questions, printable activities and read along material, so the conversation after the story is already prepared. Classroom licensing for the animated shorts runs through the store, and a licence opens everything in the Digital Learning Hub.
Can families use these at home?
Yes. An individual licence covers a household, and the same discussion questions work just as well at a kitchen table as in a classroom. The Resource and Referral Hub holds further support for families who want to carry the conversation further.
How do I invite Mrs. Disu to my school?
Through the form just below. Tell me the grades, the date you have in mind and what you are hoping the children walk away with, and a reply will come back with what is possible. Visits happen in person across Alberta and online anywhere.
