Our commitment

This site aims to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG, and to keep improving against them. The goal is simple: every visitor, whatever tools they browse with, should be able to read these stories, watch these films and reach out with ease.

What the site already does

• Readable type at a generous size, with clear headings and comfortable line lengths.
• Colour contrast chosen so text stays legible against every background.
• Menus and forms that can be fully operated with a keyboard.
• Reduced motion respected, so animations quiet down when your device asks them to.
• Alternative text on imagery, so screen readers can describe what sighted visitors see.
• Captions expected on videos, so every story can be followed without sound.

Known limitations during development

Video published on this site plays only when you ask it to, never with sound of its own, and carries captions on the player. Where a film still has not yet been cleared for the web, the page shows a plain panel rather than a photograph borrowed from somewhere else.

Every accessibility report receives a reply within two business days, and fixing barriers is treated as a priority, because a bridge that not everyone can cross is not finished.
